RALEIGH — The Federal Building in Raleigh will officially be renamed Monday.
A dedication ceremony for what will be known as the Terry Sanford Federal Building on New Bern Avenue is scheduled Monday morning.
In April, President Clinton signed a bill honoring one of North Carolina's most influential leaders.
Sanford died last April after a long bout with cancer.
In an illustrious career, he was a paratrooper, FBU agent, a state senator, governor of North Carolina, U.S. Senator from North Carolina, and president of Duke University.
