<b>RALEIGH</b> — Anyone traveling through downtown Raleigh  may have to find another way to go for the next month or so.  The intersection of East and Cabarrus Streets will be closed for about six weeks beginning Thursday, June 3.

Thecity of Raleighis shutting down the intersection to replace an old storm sewer system. Traffic will not be allowed in the 500 blocks of south East Street and east Cabarrus Street while the work is being done.

Only homeowners in the area will be able to access their driveways and property.
