<b>ROLESVILLE</b> — A Rolesville police officer was arrested Wednesday and faces a misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly punching a three-year-old in the face, giving him a nosebleed.

Gordon Michael Jenkins, 30, has been suspended from the Rolesville Police Department pending an internal investigation. He has been with the department since March 1995.
