Durham Man Charged With Stealing Items From Deputy's Car

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — A sheriff's patrol car did not scare off a thief.

Authorities say 20-year-old Terrence Fulton stole a shotgun, a two-way radio and keys to a Durham public school from a Durham County deputy's unlocked patrol car last week.

On Saturday, deputies searched Fulton's house and found the stolen items.

Fulton was charged with breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, larceny after breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm and possession of stolen goods.

It is not yet known if the deputy will face any sort of action.
