Car Crashes Into Raleigh Apartment Building

RALEIGH, N.C. — A car crashed into an apartment building overnight in Raleigh.

Around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, the car veered off New Hope Church Road in Raleigh, striking the building. Ten to 15 people were evacuated from the apartment complex.

Authorities say the vehicle also hit a gas line. Crews had to shut off the gas to repair the gas line.

The car's driver and a passenger were taken to WakeMed. There is no word on their injuries.

Part of New Hope Church Road was closed to traffic for about two hours.
