RALEIGH — Having a warm room in a rental house or apartment may soon be the law.
The North Carolina House is expected to vote later today on a measure requiring landlords in cities of at least 200,000 people to provide at least one room of heat in low-income housing.
Not everyone like the proposed law.
Some landlords say the bill will force them to increase rent for those properties.
