RALEIGH — Residents of Raleigh or western Wake County may notice some changes in the water Monday.
The Cary/Apex water plant and the Raleigh plant are flushing their systems, as well as conducting the annual disinfection process. This will run March 1 to April 1.
Normally, the water supply contains both ammonia and chlorine. For the next month, however, only chlorine will be added.
Residents may notice a chlorine odor and tap water could be slightly discolored.
People on kidney dialysis machines need to take note.
Also, make sure the water runs clean before washing white clothes.
