Attorneys are now giving closing arguments in the case.

The jury consists of ten women and two men from Johnston County. The jurors are being bused each day from Johnston County because of pretrial publicity in the case.

Kevin and Tilmon Golphins are charged in the deaths of N.C. Highway Patrol Sgt. Ed Lowry and Cumberland County Sheriff's Cpl. David Hathcock. They were killed during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 near Fayetteville on Sept. 23, 1997.

The state is seeking the death penalty for both men.Contents
