RALEIGH — Raleigh-Durham International Airport was transformed into a bargain hunter's bonanza this weekend.

The airport authority auctioned off a hangar full of items Saturday including cars, computers, cameras and old office equipment. Many of the items were abandoned in parking lots or lost inside the terminals.

Folks braved the cold and rain in hopes of finding a good deal.

"That's a funny thing," said Any Thompson of RDU International. "You'll find things you think will go for little or nothing and the price goes way up. But some things you can get a pretty good deal on."

All of the money earned at this year's auction will go to the state of North Carolina.
