A woman and a teenage boy were shot at the Travel Lodge on Cedar Creek Rd in Fayetteville shortly after 10pm. Multiple police cars remain on scene. No suspect in custody. Investigation underway.

Greensboro police issued an Amber Alert on Thursday for Kayson Osiah Monk, 9 months, who is believed to be with Deon Lamar Monk, 23. Police did not say how the two are related.

<b>WAKE COUNTY</b> — Just days before the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be a new, permanent traffic pattern atRDU International.

Starting Saturday, theDepartment of Transportationwill close a major portion of eastbound Aviation Parkway, shifting drivers to the new Aviation Parkway which will connect to I-540.

About five days later, westbound Aviation Parkway will be closed in the same area.

RDU advises that travellers budget a little extra time for the trip to the airport.
