CAMP LEJEUNE — The pilot of the U.S. fighter jet that crashed through an Italian ski lift is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
Captain Richard Ashby, 30, will have to answer charges that he obstructed justice.
The jet's navigator, Joseph Schweitzer, 31, claims Ashby tried to destroy a cockpit videotape that recorded the whole accident.
Both Ashby and Schweitzer face 20 charges of involuntary manslaughter and negligent homicide for the deaths of 20 European skiers on Feb. 3.
