FAYETTEVILLE — A state trooper convicted of first-degree murder may find out this week if he'll pay for the crime with his life.
Jurors convicted Maurice Parker Friday of murdering Vonnie Hall, a Fayetteville car body shop owner.
Prosecutors believe Hall may have threatened to expose Parker for forging car titles.
The sentencing phase of the Parker trial starts Monday.
