RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are asking for the public's help to find a man who they believe grabbed a woman on her morning jog.
According to authorities, the woman was running in her neighborhood at around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when someone grabbed her near the intersection of Falls River Road and Hopeton Avenue.

Police said the man grabbed the woman by the arm, but that she was able to get away and alert neighbors.

Authorities believe the assailant fled the area in a older-model red or burgundy car that might have been a Mazda or a Volvo. Witnesses said the car had a loud muffler.

The assailant is described as a white male in his 20s, standing about 5 feet 10 inches and weighing almost 190 pounds. He also has "shaggy," light, brown hair and was wearing jeans, a dark-colored sweatshirt with a pocket in the front and sneakers.

Anyone with information should contact the Raleigh Police Department at 919-890-3555.
