<b>ELM CITY</b> — An accident on Pleasant Hill Road, near Elm City in Wilson County, took the life of a Sharpsburg 17-year-old early Tuesday morning.

The teen was driving a 1987 Honda that ran off the shoulder of the road, went out of control, and struck a tree and a utility pole. The driver, Gregory High, was killed instantly.

He was returning from taking his mother to work and apparently fell asleep at the wheel.
