SMITHFIELD — A man got quite a scare Sunday on a road in Johnston County.
He was driving on Antioch Church Road when a truck came barreling toward him in his lane.
He swerved to avoid the truck, missed a bridge and wound up in a creek.
The man swam to safety but his sport utility vehicle is stuck underwater.
The Highway Patrol is investigating.
