FAYETTEVILLE — A heavily armed man has barricaded himself in his Cumberland county home off Underwood Road at Business 95.
Police are on the scene, and neighbors have been evacuated.
At about 2 p.m., the unidentified man allegedly fired weapons in his front yard. Neighbors called to complain, and when police arrived, the man allegedly threatened the deputy.
The deputy retreated and called for back-up. When the additional deputies arrived, the man barricaded himself in the house.
