Affordable Housing Sought

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — Demonstrators set up shop outside the North Carolina General Assembly yesterday.

They reminded state lawmakers about the need for affordable housing for North Carolina's low income residents.

Two bills are making their way through the legislature that would allocate money for low-income housing.

Supporters say families and seniors in rural areas are struggling to afford housing, the same as people in larger communities.
