Mother of Kidnapped Infant Gets Probation

RALEIGH — When 2-month-old Tristian McMillion was kidnapped from his Raleigh home last April, two arrests were made in connection with his disappearance. The child was later found just a few blocks away in the stairwell of an abandoned building.

The case of Stephanie Malloy, who was charged with kidnapping, is still pending. The baby boy's mother, Cassandra McMillion, was also arrested for neglect.

Wednesday, The mother was convicted on one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A judge gave McMillion a 45 day suspended jail sentence and placed her on supervised probation for 18 months.
