ZEBULON — A building in downtown Zebulon was partially destroyed by a Friday afternoon fire. Dozens of crews responded to the fire at the Queen Wholesale building on West Vance Street.
Investigators think the fire started in some cardboard and quickly spread. Friday's temperatures made fighting the fire more difficult than usual.
"We've had one person go down. He went to the hospital," said "With all the heat they're drinking a lot of fluids. They're doing good, but one guy worked himself out."
Investigators say they won't start researching a cause for the fire until all the hot spots have been put out.
