CHAPEL HILL — Electrical problems are to blame for a plane skidding off the runway at a Chapel Hill airport Sunday.
The pilot alerted air traffic controllers at Raleigh-Durham International Airport of the problems.
But they wouldn't let the plane land there because of the annual Air Expo that was being staged all day.
The plane was rerouted to Horace Williams Airport for the emergency landing.
No one was hurt, although the plane skidded off the runway.
The plane was carrying a 10-year-old patient to Duke University Medical Center. He was able to make it there all right.
