SAN FRANCISCO — Police in California may have a new clue in the case of a missing NC State student. They suspect that 18-year-old Kristen Modafferi may have been abducted or killed by someone she met through a personal ad.
They found an ad in a weekly Bay Area newspaper that matches her description.
The student, whose hometown was Charlotte, had moved to that area and was last seen almost a year ago.
