RALEIGH, N.C. — Some residents saw a brief appearance of snow, but it did not last very long.
Snow could be seen during the early morning hours in parts of Smithfield and Clayton.
The snow was just enough to cover some car windshields and some grassy areas.
However as temperatures begin to rise throughout the morning, the snow is expected to melt away quickly.
The wintry weather posed no problems on the roads.
