Authorities believe the men, reportedly in their late teens to early 20s, are targeting employee belongings after reports of thefts in employee break rooms at six businesses in the Cary Crossroads shopping center -- A.C. Moore, Dick's Sporting Goods, PetsMART, Pier 1 Imports, Cost Plus World Market and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Police say the men have used stolen credit cards to buy items, such as American Express gift cards, and, since early October, have made about $3,000 in purchases.
