Higher Water on Way Down East

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — Recent heavy rains have caused flooding across the Triangle and may create problems for people who live along the Neuse River.

On Friday, the Falls Lake Dam was at capacity so the Army Corps of Engineers started releasing water from the dam.

But the release could cause flooding downstream.

Clayton, Smithfield and Goldsboro residents can expect to see high water this week.
