— Authorities say alcohol was definitely a factor in a deadly Friday night accident in Goldsboro. Jeffrey McDuffie, 37, was driving west in the eastbound lane of Highway 70 when he hit another car head on.

Shawnal Tameeka Collins, 22, was killed. She was driving the McDuffie hit. Collins' 4 and 5-year-old niece and nephew were hospitalized briefly, but were not seriously injured.

McDuffie is charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license, and manslaughter.
