Parents Faces Charges of Abusing 6-Month-Old
The parents of a 6-month-old baby in Halifax County have been charged with child abuse.

HALIFAX, N.C. — The parents of a 6-month-old baby in Halifax County have been charged with child abuse.
Jessica Lynch, 20, and Jarvis Coley, 18, both of Hollister, face charges of felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.
This case was reported to the authorities earlier this month after hospital officials discovered a broken femur on the child. During a medical exam, doctors discovered two broken ribs that were in the process of being healed.
The rib injury was believed to have happened back in December, but authorities would not release further details about the case.
Lynch is in the Halifax County Jail under a $75,000 bond; Coley is there under a $25,000 bond. They are expected to make their first court appearance March 28.
