RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities are on the lookout for a suspect in the robbery of a jewelry store earlier this month.

Police say that the alleged robber entered Jolly's Jewelers at North Hills shortly before noon on Dec. 20. He allegedly grabbed two diamonds valued at over $58,000 from a store employee before fleeing the store and jumping into a vehicle driven by a second suspect. The car, which was stolen, was found abandoned nearby.

The suspect is described as being in his 30s or 40s, around 6-feet tall, and with a thin build. He was wearing a navy-blue windbreaker and jeans during the robbery, and was described as having noticeably chapped hands and lips.
