Girl In Hunting-Related Accident Recovering At Home

Two Shot In Separate Hunting Accidents
RALEIGH, N.C. — There is more information about two recent hunting-related shootings in Wake County.

An 11-year-old girl who accidentally shot herself Friday outside of Wake Forest is now recovering at home.

Detectives say the girl dropped the gun and it went off. The bullet hit her in the mid-section and exited through her shoulder.

Another shooting happened Friday in a field off Rock Quarry Road.

Taylor Carlisle, 20, was shot in the head. He is in the hospital in good condition.

The hunters will face misdemeanor charges for not having permission to be on the property.
