Police arrested the two suspects Wednesday after they eluded police during a drug investigation. Initially, police were unable to identify either of the men because they were not cooperating.
The second suspect, previously referred to as John Doe 2, was identified as Gary Courtney Fitzgerald, 38, of Fuquay-Varina.
Fitzgerald and John Doe 1, who still is not cooperating in the police investigation, are charged with one count each of conspiracy to traffic in marijuana and also for eluding police.
