VANCE COUNTY, N.C. — The Vance County Sheriff's Office is investigating a body that was found at a wildlife refuge.
Authorities said that the victim was found leaning over a railing with a head injury.
Authorities said the man appears to have been stabbed but it is not known if it was a self-inflicted injury.
The location of the body is along Highway 39 north near Williamsboro Wayside.
