Dogs Not Allowed At Roanoke Rapids Parade

Posted Updated

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — Dogs will not be allowed at this weekend's Christmas parade in Roanoke Rapids.

City officials plan to issue $500 fines to people who bring their dogs.

A number of recent dog attacks has a lot of people on edge, so officials said they want to make sure the dogs do not spoil Sunday's parade.

Randy Parton, Dolly Patron's brother, will serve as the grand marshal.
