CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man who police say robbed a bank, wrecked his car during a chase and stole another car during the getaway was arrested Monday in Charlotte.
Michael Hersey Jacobs, 30, of Maxton was arrested at noon Monday in a motel in Charlotte, authorities said.
At the time of the arrest, Jacobs was found with injuries that resulted from a car crash after the alleged bank robbery Friday morning. He was taken to a hospital near Charlotte.
Jacobs was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, felony speeding to elude and larceny of a motor vehicle.
The U.S. Marshall's Hornet's Nest Task Force arrest Jacobs after getting a tip from the Fayetteville Police Violent Fugitive Task Force.
