Garbage Truck Driver Charged In Wreck With Raleigh Bus

RALEIGH, N.C. — A garbage truck driver was charged in a wreck involving a Raleigh CAT bus at about 9 a.m. Friday.

Police said the garbage truck was going south on Peyton Street, ran a stop sign, and hit the CAT bus. The stop sign was at the intersection of

Belmont Drive and Peyton Street

The garbage truck driver, Henry Jones, was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign, police said.

Jones, the CAT bus driver, and one passenger from the garbage truck were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No passengers on the bus were hurt.
