CARY, N.C. — Cary officials said Tuesday that potholes along a stretch of one Cary road would be fixed as soon as possible and that the whole road would be repaved in the next few weeks.
Piney Plains Drive between Cary Parkway and Tryon Road is riddled with potholes, mud and roadside hazards. Drivers say they even come to a complete halt trying to maneuver around hazards.
Town engineers said Tuesday they were not aware of the trouble until they were told by WRAL.
"We're not happy with potholes, but we can only address the ones that we know about," said Cary's engineering manager, Joe Moore. "Even though we go through this project and look out for things, sometimes they emerge, especially after a heavy rain event like we've had."
