I-40 In Orange County Reopens After 18-Wheeler Accident Causes Delays

ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — Interstate 40 was reopened early Tuesday morning after a wreck Monday night at mile marker 266 in Orange County shut down all westbound lanes between N.C. Highway 86 and U.S. 15/501.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol said three 18-wheelers were involved in a crash. No one was hurt.
One of the trucks carrying peanuts spilled its load.
