Goldsboro Man Charged After Vehicle Crashes Into House

Car Crashes Into House
GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Goldsboro man was charged with careless and reckless driving Sunday after the vehicle he was driving crashed into an abandoned house, according to authorities.

Randy Temple, 19, of Goldsboro, was traveling west on Stevens Mill Road at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday when he lost control of his vehicle, ran off the road to the left and struck the front porch of a house at

3545 Stevens Mill Road

, the North Carolina Highway Patrol said.

No one was inside the house and it appeared to have been abandoned. The roof at the front of the house and over the porch burned. The windows and front door were also charred.

No one was seriously injured in the accident.
