FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A woman jogging in Fayetteville Thursday morning when she came upon a man who had apparently died in a car accident, according to police.
Fayetteville police were called to the scene at Robeson Street near Village Drive, where they found Christopher Lynn Haithcock, 25, of Fayetteville, slumped over in a damaged blue 1994 Honda Accord behind a row of cars.
Investigators said Haithcock was traveling inbound on Rosebson Street when he ran his vehicle off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole on Village Drive near Levy Street.
