<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — There is no word yet on whether charges will be filed in an accident involving a Durham police officer and two other vehicles.

Officer William Coghill crashed into a truck Saturday evening. The impact forced the truck to hit a sport utility vehicle.

Coghill was in his marked police vehicle, which sustained extensive damage.

Durham police say the accident happened when the officer changed lanes to avoid a truck that was turning.
