Police Arrest Man Sought in Durham Assault

Durham, N.C. — Durham police arrested a man Wednesday who was wanted for assaulting a woman over a 12-hour period.
Charles Michael Parker, 35, has been charged with second-degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation, assault inflicting serious injury and felony habitual assault.
Police said Parker beat and kicked a 51-year-old woman over a 12-hour period on Feb. 23 inside an apartment at 2003 House Ave.
The woman, who has not been identified, is listed in critical condition at Duke Hospital.
