JetBlue Makes Fiery Emergency Landing
Gov. Mike Easley presented Capt. Scott Burke, of Raleigh, with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine -- one of the highest awards handed out by the governor.
In October, Burke successfully landed a JetBlue airliner in California after its nose gear failed. The landing was broadcast live across the country.
None of the 140 passengers on board was hurt.
