<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Fayetteville authorities are looking into a shooting that occurred Wednesday morning.

When police arrived at the 3100 block of Murchison Road, they found 23-year-old Gerard Antwain Garland shot in the torso. Officers believe Garland was shot on the sidewalk.

Garland was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time, but his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.   Authorities have not released information about a possible motive or a description of a suspect.
