Fire Damages Raleigh Apartment Complex

— Some families are homeless after a fire at their apartment complex Monday morning.

Raleigh fire crews were called out to the Heritage Park Apartments on

Dorothea Drive

around 7:30 a.m.

The assistant fire chief said the fire was under control in less than a hour, but three apartment units were damaged or destroyed.

Authorities say everyone made it out of the building OK. There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
