DURHAM, N.C. — Police blew up a suspicious package outside a SunTrust Bank facility Thursday and closed part of Hillsborough Street for a time, officials said.
Police said someone found the package at the offices at 3457 Hillsborough Road, and the bomb squad was called as a precaution.
Destroying the package at the site is standard procedure for the situation, police said. They said no suspicious device of any kind was found inside.
There were no evacuations and no injuries.
