RALEIGH, N.C. — Halloween is just around the corner. This year, the ghoulish holiday falls on a Monday, leaving many wondering if trick-or-treating will be on Halloween -- or one day earlier.

Most town and city officials with whom WRAL contacted Thursday said most parts of their communities would be observing trick-or-treating on Oct. 31. Residents, however, may also want to contact their local neighborhood associations, community centers and other places where the yearly tradition is observed to see if there are any changes.

  • Carrboro
