Cary's first dog park

Construction is under way at the facility off
northwest Maynard and Chapel Hill Roads
. Crews still need to put up the fence and do the landscaping.
Neighbors' concerns prompted some changes to the park.
Pets and their owners cannot enter after 9 p.m., instead of a 10 p.m. cutoff. Also, more trees will be planted to screen the park better from nearby neighborhoods.
