Driver Killed In Fayetteville Accident

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man is dead after an early morning single-vehicle accident on Gillis Hill Road in Fayetteville.
According to the Fayetteville Police Department, the vehicle was traveling southbound on
Gillis Hill Road near Raeford Road
at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday when the driver apparently lost control of the car, ran off the road to the right and overturned.
Police said that there was another person in the car who was not injured.
The accident is still under investigation. Detectives have not determined whether speed or alcohol were factors.
The name of the victim has not been released, pending notification of next-of-kin.
