CARRBORO, N.C. — On Friday, the Orange County District Attorney's Office dropped child sex charges against a man months after murder charges were also against him.
Carrboro police found child pornography on a computer belonging to Andrew Dalzell. They also say he stole a credit card number to buy a mail order bride.
A judge ruled the evidence cannot be used in court because officers obtained it illegally.
Earlier this year, the district attorney's office had to drop a murder charge against Dalzell for the same reason.
