ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Replacing a controversial statue in Rocky Mount may be tougher than expected.
A replica of a new Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. statue has been on display for about a week.
City leaders hired a new artist after many residents complained the old statue did not look like the civil rights leader.
Officials are asking for public input, but so far they said most of the feedback is negative.
