Raleigh Police Identify Pedestrian Hit By Car On Beltline

RALEIGH, N.C. — A pedestrian was struck by a car and killed Wednesday night while crossing the Inner Beltline in Raleigh, police said.

Police said 49-year-old Wesley Faucett of Raleigh was walking across the Inner Beltline near the New Bern Avenue Exit at about 10:40 p.m. when a car struck and killed him.

The driver immediately exited the Beltline and notified authorities of the accident, police said.

No charges will be filed against the driver.
