Missing Person Reported In Orange County

RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities in Durham and Orange counties are asking for the public's help in locating a missing Orange County woman.

Durham police said Alisha Gayle Moore, 34, never checked in at work after leaving a family member's home on Sedgefield Street in Durham Thursday morning, Oct. 6.

Moore is described as a woman standing at 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds. She has brown eyes and shoulder-length brown hair that is sometimes worn pulled back. She also wears contacts and is described as soft-spoken.

Investigators said Moore was last seen driving a 2000 black Dodge Neon with North Carolina license plate tag

. Earlier Monday, however, Durham police said that Atlanta authorities recovered the license plate tag from a different car in the area.
